Ok, I have always been the one to make fun of those whining about their knees when it came to running. If your knees hurt, it is due to improper running techniques.

Halfway through the 8k today my knees started killing me. Not only that my shins and ankles felt like they were being crushed. What happened to my technique? With each knee crushing stride I knew the something was wrong.

The fight you just had with a significant other, how tired you are, how much further you have to go, or how far you have gone? Once you fall prey to these pace killing thought patterns it is very difficult to get back ‘in the zone’.
